CDFA Issues Immediate STOP USE Notice for AGRO Gold WS
Agro Gold WS was found adulterated with glyphosate and diquat and CDFA has issued a stop order for use on organic farms in the state of California.
The product AGRO GOLD WS is labeled and registered as an organic fertilizing material, but has been found to contain both Diquat and Glyphosate. Sale and use of this product thus poses a public health risk because the product was found to contain herbicides not disclosed on its label.

Request for Grape and Wine Samples to Study Effects of Smoke - by Lynn Wunderlich, Central Sierra UCCE Farm Advisor
By now we are all wondering what the effects of this season’s smoke will be on our local fruit. Anita Oberholster, our UCCE Enology Specialist, is asking growers and winemakers from across the state to freeze grapes and wine samples that relate to those grapes for her to analyze later next year (she’s in the midst of several studies and will have a large back log of samples).
